General Terms and Conditions
- When carp fishing, the maximum distance of the rods is approximately 5 meters to the left or right of the angler’s seat or tent.
- This fishing permit entitles the holder to fish with a maximum of two rods in the city moats of Ravenstein.
- Only the fishing permit issued by HSV “de Pollepel” is valid for the city moats.
- The VISpas does not grant the right to fish in the city moats.
- The fishing permit of HSV “de Pollepel” must be shown upon first request by the inspectors appointed by HSV “de Pollepel”. These inspectors can identify themselves by means of an official inspector’s ID card.
- Fishing in the Castle Moat near the care home “De Valkenburcht” is prohibited.
- All statutory rules and regulations of the government and the municipality of Oss apply.
- It is not permitted to hold fishing competitions without written permission from the board of HSV “de Pollepel”.
- Parking cars on paths and public green areas is strictly prohibited.
- TRAILERS at the fishing spot
- When fishing, it is mandatory to have at least a small unhooking mat with you and to use a landing net when landing large fish! Additionally, when fishing for predatory fish, you must always have an unhooking mat and a pair of jaw pliers with you!
- It is prohibited to fish for predatory fish (pike, perch, and zander) using dead baitfish or artificial lures from 1 April to 31 May. The use of live baitfish is prohibited at all times.
- It is prohibited to take any fish, regardless of species, from the water.
- Night fishing is permitted for members until 31-12-2026. In 2027, night fishing will only be allowed with an additional fee.
- Night fishing is not permitted when fishing with a day permit.
- As of 1 October 2012, the restrictions on night fishing (Article 7, paragraph 1 of the Inland Fisheries Regulations) have been lifted.
- However, disturbance to the surrounding area will inevitably lead to withdrawal of the permit. Peace and quiet for local residents must not be compromised. Therefore, do not set carp fishing bite alarms too loud.
- Camping around the moats is not permitted (Open-Air Recreation Act). Violations are subject to a fine for illegal camping. Article 11 also applies. A normal fishing umbrella or a simple shelter tent is permitted.
- It is prohibited to possess or remove carp or grass carp. Keeping carp or grass carp in a keepnet or retention sack is prohibited. Caught (grass) carp must, if applicable after registration, be immediately returned to the same water from which they were caught.
- When carp fishing, the use of a proper unhooking mat and a sufficiently large landing net is mandatory.
- When carp fishing, only fish-safe systems must be used, allowing the fish to lose the lead and possibly the main line in the event of line breakage. Systems that release the lead after every bite (drop-off systems) are discouraged due to possible pollution.
- It is not permitted to claim or reserve feeding or fishing spots.
- Open fires around the moats are prohibited.
- Always clean up your litter and do not discard fishing materials such as fishing lines in or around the water. Ducks and other aquatic animals can become entangled in them.
- A limited number of rowing boats is permitted, subject to written permission from the board of HSV “de Pollepel”.
- All boats must be properly maintained and regularly drained of water inside. Otherwise, they must be removed by the owner.
- It is not permitted to stock fish in the city moats, including (sick) pond fish, due to the risk of contamination.
- All members cooperate in keeping the fishing waters clean.
- An annual meeting will be held, and the board hopes all members will attend to discuss current policy and any future policy plans.The board of HSV “de Pollepel” expects all members to behave in every respect as true sport anglers.
